The Blue Dream Project is an Italian-Canadian non-profit environmental association whose goal is to work to preserve the balance of the marine ecosystem by raising people's awareness on the issue of pollution caused by plastic, acting concretely through information and training campaigns also in schools as well as for scientific research in collaboration with other national and international associations.

Schooner "Mahayana"

In order to support the educational and scientific mission of the association, the founder and President, Francesco Nanni, in three years and in an eco-sustainable way has built, according to the ancient dictates of the shipwrights of North America, the "Mahayana", an 18-meter schooner made entirely of wood, an ambassador made available to citizens, researchers and students for awareness-raising and research campaigns on plastic pollution in the sea.
